Pandemic Guidebook Project (2021)

This guidebook focuses on wandering local Canberra mountains (Mount Majura and Mount Ainslie) and spending time in nature to improve mental wellbeing in the Covid-19 pandemic. It is inspired by my own experience, as I spent are large amount of time exploring these locations.

It aims to create an introspective, peaceful, and informative guide that acknowledges the hardships of the pandemic and offers exploratory nature walks a response to this difficulty. The design communicates information relevant for locals undertaking their own mountain journey, and convey a sense of serenity and comfort.

The book uses colours inspired by the Australian bush, while using loose handprinted watercolour textures to reflect the tactility of the mountain environment.
